a daddy is good
for so many things
to get a tattoo with
or push you on swings
he'll always be there through
the day and the night
and when you are sad
he'll make sure you're alright
if you're on a car ride
that's tedious and long
you'll want him right by you
to sing Beatles songs
he's not always tidy
in fact he's quite sloppy
but there is no doubt
he's an excellent Poppy
so today is your birthday
and i just want to say
you've made my life wonderful
in so many ways
