on wednesday, i shot that video from lily's nursery window. it was quite an exciting day on our street. apparently, someone had threatened suicide and soon the police, paramedics, firemen, and swat team were all on my street. it was actually a very sad experience as i listened to them talk over the loud speaker into a house and beg the person to come out and get help. they kept saying that they had been in contact with the daughter who was very worried, etc.
thankfully, the person didn't go through with it and now is getting the help that they so desperately needed.
it did, however, change what would have been a boring day on shallot drive to one full of anticipation and excitement.

That IS exciting, but also a little scary, considering how close the SWAT team is to your house? Why does a potential suicide need a SWAT team, anyway? It must have been a gun-involved incident...
